The first few days in Pembrokeshire

We left Southerndown and headed for The Gower. There was a cycle race going on and lots of people so we found it even harder to navigate all the windy roads in Jovanna! We decided to head to Pembrokeshire

We now needed to fill up with water and empty waste. We found a perfect space to do this on the ‘search for sites‘ app. It was a sports centre in the middle of nowhere, well almost! It was at a small village called Lawrenny. We stayed for 2 nights. We were able to do everything we needed to and we were close to an estuary so I got to swim too.

Jo in the estuary!

After 2 nights we headed a bit further round and parked up in a lay-by for the night , not far from Manorbier Beach and a village called Jamieson. Manorbier beach had a castle behind it and the beach had some sand and some pebbles. I opted for the pebbles as I’m used to pebbles in Brighton and they are definitely less messy as sand tends to get everywhere! The pebbles were different to Brighton pebbles. Flatter and a bit bigger and lovely pastel shades

Here are some photos of Manorbier Beach including the approach which was a very steep incline and also the Castle and the pebbles .
