Kavala
We left Halkidiki and headed a bit further along towards Turkey and another great Beach park up at Kavala.
We stayed for 2 days. I swam and continued with my exercise routine.
We also met an English couple from Plymouth, we were following each other over on instagram. They were also heading to Turkey in their motorhome. Was nice to meet them.
On our 2nd day there we went for a cycle ride. We went quite high up, here’s the view.
It was still quiet everywhere as the season hadn’t started yet. We could see that everyone was frantically getting their shops and restaurants ready! Guess it would soon be very busy for them all.
As you can see there were some amazing sunsets to be seen.
Alexandroupoli
After 2 days we decided to head to Alexandroupoli, this would be our last stop before Turkey.
It was another beach park up but it wasn’t as nice as Kavala.
I did still get to swim there but this was more of a practical stop.
Opposite our park up there was a Lidl! When we first got to Greece it was a luxury going into Lidl! It felt like I was let loose in a ‘real supermarket!’
We got our laundry done, went to Lidl, filled up with water and filled up with LPG and fuel.
Dee always likes to fill up just in case as you never know how far it will be to the next garage! If you are reading this before going to Turkey then don’t bother doing that as there are garages as soon as you cross the border and fuel is much cheaper on the other side.
After a day and a half we were ready to go! Next destination Turkey, which is where our next post will start.
